When anxiety became an epidemic in the ever-going pandemic, it became even more crystal clear to me that we all need easier access to information on restoring balance and healing from stress & anxiety. My psychotherapy practice is full, and I wanted to create something that could help more people.

So, I took the biggest issues I work with clients on in therapy PLUS the best of my training in the mind, body & space and developed an offer that integrates a different approach to healing and creating a healthy life-work balance.

I’ve dedicated the past 20 years to understanding, training, teaching, and treating anxiety and I am passionate about empowering women with information to heal simply and holistically.

I’m no stranger to the struggles of anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. My personal struggles with anxiety drove my learning and passion for this subject.

I bought my first mind-body book as a sophomore in college, desperately searching for alternatives to jaw surgery (the ONLY option given to me by the doctors) to cope with my perfectionism-induced TMJ & tension headaches. The book “Healing Mind, Healthy Woman” rocked my world, healed my jaw (no surgery required), and put me on a life mission to learn about & teach others alternative ways of healing.

I started my career as a mental health professional with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia in 2003. I have been working as an individual and group psychotherapist ever since. Most of my counseling experience is with professional students and academics.

I’ve always had a passion for organizing & interior decor and how making little changes in a space can make it FEEL completely different. In 2005 I made my hobby official by completing an Interior Decorating Certification Program.

Soon after, I began working with new construction selections, decorating model homes, and helping others set up their homes and offices to create a calmer mind.

In 2013, my path led me to a yoga teacher training at Five Points Yoga in Athens, GA. My life was forever changed by this experience. I couldn’t get enough, so over the next five years, I completed my 300-hour yoga training through Asheville Yoga Center and am a RYT 500 (Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance).

I was blown away by how yoga philosophy and mindfulness effortlessly integrated with and rounded out my healing approach. I immediately began working with clients, leading groups and teaching classes with a somatic focus incorporating the mind/body connection and yoga, mindfulness, and pranayama (breathwork).

I also did advanced training in mindfulness meditation and somatic therapy (specifically Hakomi and Polyvagal Theory).

Over the many years of studying and doing this integrative work, I kept noting DOMINANT THEMES and SIMPLE, PRACTICAL TOOLS that made big differences in the lives of my clients.

I love my one-on-one work with clients but have had a gnawing for a while to spread this wisdom more broadly. So, here we are!

I hope the Mind-Body-Space Method will be a wise guideline on the journey of reconnecting to yourself, your body, and your passions - ultimately returning to your OWN inner wisdom.

I’ve also worked hard to create a life-work balance (which is a large part of why this business even exists :)

Outside of work, I am a wife, mom, and dog mom. I love camping with my family, biking, house plants, taking walks & deep talks with friends, sushi, world decor & music, organizing, and tie-dying.

Also, as an act of self-care and boundary to protect my energy, I quit social media several years ago.
